About Him
Hi, I’m Nathan Powell—a husband of 32 years, proud dad of three grown sons, and grandpa to some amazing little ones. I’ve spent over two decades serving as a parks and recreation executive, and while I’ve loved leading in that space, I’ve also discovered a passion I didn’t expect: writing.
My debut novel, Shielding the Fall, is inspired by the true story of a WWII bomber crew. It weaves together faith, romance, and history in a deeply personal exploration of love, loss, and courage. What started as a love for history and storytelling has grown into something greater—a calling to write stories that reflect the quiet strength found in struggle, and the grace that meets us when we fall.
I hold a Master of Science in Parks and Recreation Administration and am a certified Parks and Recreation Executive. When I’m not writing, I enjoy spending time outdoors and sharing my photography on Instagram under #enjoygodscreation.
